Etsy Store Spotlight: Aunt Haybee's

This Etsy store spotlight is for Aunt Haybee's - this rustic, gorgeous Etsy shop sells homemade jams, jellies, candies, country chic wedding favors and decor. 

The homemade jams and jellies, which I'll feature below, are absolutely mouth watering! I can just taste the freshly preserved flavors from the photos alone. I'm so excited to be able to feature this shop!

The owner of this shop is Heather, from Statesville, NC. As with all of my Etsy store spotlights, I ask the shop owners a set of questions that help reveal the intricate backgrounds of their shop, as well as their inspirations and future goals. Check out Heather's responses!

Q: Describe your Etsy store to me. What inspires you most? Why did you decide to open your shop?

A: I started my Etsy store to originally sell my art, but I came from a long line of canners and we grow a garden each year and can. We had such an abundance of fruit last year that we started offering jars of extra jam we had on Craigslist. 

Before I knew it I had a few messages inquiring about wedding favor jams, so I thought I might have something special and we decided to list our jams on Etsy for sale and sales began to take off. While beginning our store, my then boyfriend proposed and we began planning our wedding. We were making so many homemade things ourselves, we realized we also had some great crafts that we could offer others as well and Aunt Haybee's was born! 

That is so sweet! I think that hearing about the beginnings of any small business really help you connect with the merchandise. I believe that, in a world where we're surrounding by mostly factory made products, this is really vital to emphasize.

To finish up this post, I wanted to feature this gorgeous handmade wedding sign. I really loved the idea of this, as many couples (including me and my own hubby) not only celebrate our wedding date, but our "first date" anniversary as well!

I asked Heather what their plans were for the future of their Etsy shop, and she replied:

"We've since added (since opening) additional favor options such as Honey and Hot Chocolate and we're looking forward to offering more options in the future, but for right now we are plugging away at creating new wedding and party favors and decor, new jam and jelly flavors, and some wonderful new fudge & candies."
