Canary Yellow Celtic Earrings - Our Item of the Day!

Today, we are featuring these lovely Celtic style, chunky wire earrings from our store!

When I opened Caravan of Beads on Etsy (just before my parents joined the shop and made it complete), I was really new to jewelry making, but I wanted an outlet for my creative side (especially when I was in the middle of a terrible writer's block).

After experimenting with different styles of drop earrings, I came across some beautiful wire earring styles that were made with a wire jig (also known as a Thing-A-Ma-Jig). I was smitten - I had to learn how to make the beautiful patterns I saw!

Learning to use a wire jig is super fun and simple - you can buy a plastic or metal one at your local craft store (I recommend the metal version, as it's heavier and more substantial). The Celtic pattern of these earrings was made completely by me with the use of a wire jig - for crafters out there, I highly recommend buying one!

My favorite part of these earrings, besides creating the Celtic design by hand, are the lovely bright canary yellow crackle beads. I am a HUGE fan of crackle beads, but then again, I love bright and fun colors. So super cute - these earrings could be a pop of color for any outfit!
