Etsy Store Spotlight: CustomCraftsHMB

This Etsy store spotlight post is for CustomCraftsHMB! This store offers absolutely adorable personalized merchandise, such as cork boards, shadow boxes, and memory boards! They also offer the cutest quilled scrapbooking embellishments - I'm so excited to have them featured on my blog today.

Heather, the owner of this Etsy store, said that she was inspired to create these cute personalized items when she saw how much Pottery Barn Kids was charging for similar items - in some cases $100 or more! Looking for a more economical option, Heather decided to make her own creations.

These pretty scrapbook embellishments are so well made - I love the detail that has been placed into making every petal and shape. Each individual flower is made by a process known as "quilling".

According to Heather, quilling is "...the art of paper rolling also known as filigree. All quilled items are made from small strips of paper that is rolled and bent into different shapes and patterns."

I love the fact that Heather has gone into detail about how the item is made - I find the process of crafting to be so neat, so a little information on how an item is made is always nice to know when thinking about making a purchase. And even better, they come in a sets of 3!

So cuteeeee!!!! I went through a scrapbooking phase a few years ago, and I never ran across anything that is as stunning and intricate as this. Compared to all the "big box retailer" material, I think that this truly stands out as something beautiful and artistic.

Just like the flowers above, these butterflies are also made through the "quilling" process. This would be so cute for a young girl's scrapbook!
