Looking for Unique Vintage Finds? Check out Retrouver on Etsy!
Although Etsy has numerous vintage shops, I always love being able to feature them because no matter the content, there is always something new and different to see!
Today, I'm featuring the vintage shop Retrouver on Etsy! Run by Bucky of Toronto, Ontario, this shop was inspired by the owner's plethora of happy childhood memories.
In our interview, Bucky elaborated on what gave him the passion and drive to open up his shop:
"I love vintage because it invokes loving, warm childhood memories. Memories of watching my mother get dressed up to go out dancing with my
father, memories of my grandmother's kitchen and how much i loved to
help her bake, memories of the dolls my sisters played with and the toys
that occupied hours of play.
I am inspired by helping others to
remember, rediscover, and even reuse items from the past. I can't tell
you how many times I have found something from the past and start
using it in my everyday life....which makes me feel connected to my
memories and happy that I am being greener by using something that is
already made. As a society we can deem things disposable....."
Below, I've highlighted some of my favorite merchandise from his shop. Please enjoy!
This awesome vintage cowgirl purse is dated from the 1970's - I LOVE the fact that it's actually a purse, but looks entirely like a mini decorated saddle.
The best part? It even has stirrups and a fur lining in the top! Too cute!

This vintage piece really drew me in, mostly due to the exotic Asian design on the cover of this photo album.
At first glance, I thought this was a lacquered wall art piece, so I was uber surprised to find out that this is actually a photo album, dated from the 1950's.
This album has a hand painted and stenciled landscape of Mount Fuji and Lake
Kawaguchi with traditional Japanese architecture in the foreground and
leather binding. So elegant!

This lovely aged copper doorknob has been dated back to the 1950's - for those looking to add vintage flair to their homes, this could be a perfect upgrade!

For the future, Bucky hopes "...to be able to sell online full-time, to earn enough money so that i can quit my day job and live my passion."
I wish you much happiness and success with your shop!
