Liebster Award - Yay!

Woo-hoo! My blog has been nominated for a Liebster Award by Ellen, the writer behind the blog Sew a Musing.

Thank you so much Ellen! ^_^

As mentioned before, I'm very new to the world of blogging, so I googled the origins of the Liebster Award.

If you're interested in knowing the beginnings of this award, I'd recommend reading this post by another blog, Sopphey Says. It definitely provides more insight for those who are interested. :)

This seems like an excellent way for new bloggers to gain more exposure and followers, which us newbies definitely need!

As my predecessors have mentioned, this award/nomination comes with a little bit of homework.

1. Answer the 10 questions that were asked by the person who nominated you (which I will do below).

2. Nominate 10 new bloggers that inspire YOU. Usually, these will be bloggers with 200 followers or less.

3. Ask those bloggers 10 questions of your choice (woot!). ^_^

These were the questions that Ellen had for me:

1.) What are your favorite types of projects to undertake?

A: For jewelry crafting, I love to research new wire wrapping earring patterns, just to see if I can complete them. For my other passion, writing, I love to write historical novels. I push myself to study the era and get every aspect and detail correct.

2.) If a project doesn't turn out as well as you expected, do you still blog about it? Why or why not?

A: I haven't had much chance for this yet, but sure! It keeps the blog realistic and gives it a human touch. I'm definitely not a robot, haha.

3.) What project are you most proud of, post a link to the project if you blogged about it?
A: Although this was not one of my most difficult jewelry pieces to create, my Tribal Jasper Stone Necklace is still one of my most favorite creations.

As for writing, I've still yet to complete my magnum opus, but I hope to complete my current novel within the next 1-2 years.

This necklace is made of deep blue Jasper sea sediment stones.

4.) Why do you blog?

A: It started out as a way to reach out to more customers and provide a base for my jewelry store. I hope to evolve it more so that my customers can get to know the person behind the jewelry.

5.) How do you stay inspired to create?

A: Honestly....I buy more random beads. The more beads I have, the more I want to create.

6.) Do you usually have one project on the go, or are you a multi-project person?

A: I definitely have a million things going on at once, hence the full-time job, college, jewelry, novel writing thing that I currently have going on. :) That doesn't include the time I spend with my wonderful husband and family.

7.) Confession time...what is your oldest UFO --- Unfinished Object, and how long has it been since you've worked on it?

A: I don't typically leave items setting too long - I do have an apple green crackle bead necklace that I've yet to finish because I'm unhappy with the look.

8.) What is your favorite colour?

A: It has varied over the years, but for my personal clothing, I love bright colors! Bright yellows, oranges and ice blue shades are my favorite.

9.) How many times a week do you blog? Do you think this is too much or too little?

A: Currently, as much as possible! It is a little overwhelming, but since I'm just starting out, I figure it's for the best since I need to build a base of readers.

10.) Who inspires you?

A: A lot of things inspire me, namely God, nature, music, history, my husband and family. <3
