Elegant Crochet Jewelry on Etsy from GittaBast!

Today we have a wonderful Etsy store spotlight for GittaBast!

This lovely shop, run by Maja from Zagreb, Croatia, offers exquisitely crafted crochet and knit jewelry, among other things! 

This is one of Maja's amazing creations, a Victorian style copper gemstone necklace.

 

Previously, Maja lived in Germany for twelve years and traveled Europe in a camping bus. After obtaining an education in literature and art study, Maja worked as a teacher and a journalist. However, since 2004 she has pursued her passion as a jewelry and fashion designer.

After much traveling, Maja now lives on Adriatic sea in Croatia, where she also works in tourism. In her spare time, she built a private pet shelter where she saves feral cats. In her town she also sells other handmade merchandise, such as fruits from her farm and other handmade goodies.

Because of Maja's love and passion for handmade items, she decided to start offering her exquisite items on Etsy. Although she has sold on other platforms, she has a huge amount of respect and love for the handmade and antiques community that Etsy offers.

Maja loves to integrate multiple styles into her designs, such as modern, minimalistic, boho, hippy and historic, which you can see hints of these inspirations throughout the designs of her pieces.
